Opera mail an alternative to mail client for GMail

This is new stuff I used recently, after some failure using some other mail client apps. It's little bit complicated to configure them to used in my gmail account. Then when I explore the Opera website I found this opera mail. Actually Opera mail is built in Opera 10 browser so the good thing is that you don't have to download additional applications to use it. When finished install the Opera browser you can access this opera mail client through mail menu. To configure opera mail to access your gmail account see here. My Gmail account is POP based (I don't know is gmail has IMAP..). First you need to create an account in Opera mail through menu Tools >> Mail and Chat account, then add an email account. After completing the wizard you will be able to use opera mail as Gmail mail client. Here is screenshot sample of my account preference...

Amazing Blender 3D.. nice new UI... first time experience..

It's been a while since my last used in version 2.49, now Blender 2.5 alpha 0 has released, so many changes, and my first word was "woow".. nice looking UI.. much more like professional 3D suite app. At first used, it's so much confusing me, so much different layout..what great is nice new icon and appearance of whole application. I haven't try all it's features and new features, but mostly some changes have added. For this time, with short used experience, I'll give thumbs up for Blender. Can't wait for 2.6 release... :D. Try Blender..!!!

Instant Messaging in multiple account with Palringo

Finally I got something to write..haha.. I think this is quite useful information for you who is a chat addict.. This day when I surf and looking for new applications to use in multiple chat account like Y! Messenger, GTalk, and Facebook which is becoming more popular nowadays in my country... I found something interesting, an application I' ve never heard before (or I'm just to late.. :D).. called Palringo. The reason I search for this kind of applications is that for late few days, I've been annoying by Facebook chat taskbar I'm using all this time, which is slow to load and had some delay when messages come almost in the same time. I've used Y! Messenge client installed, but you know, sometime one application for multiple job is better than many applicatons, isn't it. One thing I love from this Palringo is that it has a mobile version to..

Few days ago during my holiday in my hometown, I got two shipments from Google and Netbeans.org (SUN Microsystems). Google has sent me an account information about activating my Google Adsense payment, and from SUN Microsystems, I got a Netbeans DVD which I've requested about couple weeks ago. Thanks to Netbeans.org for allowing DVD request again. It was litle bit suprising because they came almost in the same time. Yeah.. I'm glad..specially for SUN Microsystems, and within this post I would say Thank You very much for sending me a DVD and giving me one more good stuff to learn java, Thanks a lot... And for Google, I hope I can reach the minimum payment amount for my Adsense, then I will be so glad if you (my blog readers) can help me achieving my goal..hahaha..by clicking one (just once) of my blog adsense..haha..that's all and fell free for comment...

Wish : Bring AMFPHP Back to Life!!!!

Well, this day I got an interesting article here that compare AMFPHP and Zend_AMF, and what I'm thinking after reading it, is that maybe not a good choice to abandon AMFPHP, but this only my personal opinion, I don't know if you had yours. Personally, I got a good result in using AMFPHP, better than Zend_AMF. The first thing that make AMFPHP better is that no such complex configuration to use it, just copy + paste (or upload) and done... And the service browser is kind of amazing tool. In Zend_AMF, I had a "contrary" experiences, more things to do to get it works fine. And one of the most disturbing thing for me is that I have to access php.ini to install Zend, well, in some of my case I can't just accessing that php.ini file, and until today I got no idea how to install zend without changing the php.ini, or if you know please comment.

AMFPHP, for me, as a newbie in Flex and PHP is a great tool to use. Simple to install and quite small... BTW, I appreciate what Mr. Wade Arnold had chosen, and maybe such a great thing for Zend_AMF development. But as a newbie, I have a wish, please Bring AMFPHP Back to Life!!!! or make Zend_AMF as simple as AMFPHP, thats all...

For Information, this app haven't tested in mac yet so unfortunately you can only install this app n windows... and I'm preparing the source for download later... hope I can share more to you all... enjoy and don't forget to give you opinions... feel free to comment... learning by coding...:D

My First Adobe AIR App...(PDFCollector)

Well, it's been long..long time since my last post. This time I got another time to write on this blog, still with my experiences using new technology or as result of my learning process. Like this one, result of my short month learning the Adobe Flex and AIR. This two technology is quite exiting me because I just love Flash, which is used as the base of this two technology. Well for now, I'm sharing this app. due to my willing to share with others. Although I'm not sure if this application is useful enough. I called this app. PDFCollector, it is a basic implementation of adobe AIR file manipulation function. Not to sophisticated but. I think useful enough for managing you PDF files. Finally, please try this app. then I appreciate if you like to give some suggestion of maybe some thing useful for me about Flex and AIR.

Dual Boot Vista and Mac using Vista bootloader

There is some good video tutorial about dual boot mac and vista in Intel/AMD PC. But some are really hard to watch. I'm doing a little experiment on my friends notebook which is fujitsu (I don't know what series..) installing Vista and Mac on it. And it just work well dual booting them. So, here is the condition : I have 4 partition : 1st partition is vista installed, 2nd and 3rd for data files. And the last partition (4th) I use to install Mac (kalyway 10.5.2). Well this is what I do (after read some tutorial and watch some videos) :

1. boot up with your vista DVD, then choose repair computer
2. select Command Promt from the dialog appear
3. type this : diskpart (then press Enter)
select disk 0
select partition 1 (where vista installed)
active (set it to active partition)
exit

4. the type this : bootrec /rebuildbcd
y (press y, mean "yes" for the question)

5. set the Mac partition to active, type this : diskpart
select disk 0
select partition 4 (where Mac installed)
active
exit

is everything run well, you should now select which OS to use... that's it..

note: this notebook keyboard is not working (I'm using an external usb keyboard) cause of different layout or not supported, I haven't know yet..

Dual Boot Mac (Kalyway 10.5.2) and Windows XP using Darwin Bootloader

Ahh... finnaly I got another time to post... and here is My new experience..
Well, since Apple decide to use Intel proc. Mac / OSX can be installed on a regular PC (like mine) both Intel and AMD (read the OSX HCL here). And since I got a new Motherboard after my older MB crash, I bought a new one which is fortunately listed in OSX HCL in wiki. Seems like my ambition nearly come, and yes it came to me. And this is how I dual booting my computer an OSX and a Windows XP.
First, here is my computer specs..:
- Motherboard ASUS P5KPL-AM
- 2 Gb ram (visipro)
- 160 Gb SATA HD (seagate)
- 1 DVD-RW (Pioneer)
- Geforce 7200GS 256Mb VGA (digital alliance)
- regular 15" monitor (samsung)
- common USB mouse and keyboard (PS2 not recommended)
that's mine...

OK, I have condition like this :
My harddisk have 4 patitions (in Windows) : C (40Gb NTFS), D (60Gb NTFS), E (40Gb NTFS), and F(20Gb Empty). C used as windows partition, which have Windows XP installed, D and E already contain data and files. So, I have only partiton no.4 (F) left and this partition will be my Mac partition.
Let's do the fun part.... Set your BIOS to boot from CD/DVD ROM first then insert your Kalyway DVD. After Darwin loading press Enter for default boot or press F8 to give some boot options. Some PC Hardware need options for installing Mac.In My PC I used this option : -v -x cpus=1. If you have Dual Core Processor, sometimes the option cpus=1 needed. For more explaination about options please refer to some OSX Forums or just Google it. For now, you can use options like mine.
Wait for a while, if anything running well, you should now face the installer GUI. Select Tools > Disk Utility and the Disk Utility will appear. Now select partition no. 4 (F). Select Erase tab, then erase the disk, format with the default Mac file system (Mac Extended (Journaled)). Click erase, when it done, close the Disk Utility.
Now you can select the partition you just created as the destination disk. You may customize the installated package or just go with the default package. In My PC I select NVinject and NVinject 256Mb for my graphic driver. Now press Install if you ready.
Wait till the installation complete. Restart your computer and remove the Kalyway DVD, if it cannot be removed then set the boot sequence to Harddisk first.
Normally you can now boot with the installed Mac /OSx. You will be ask to fill some informations. But in My case, I have the "HFS+ Partition error" after my second boot to OSX. This kind of error in My case, due to the Mac patition is fail to recognized as the active partition, so the solution is set it to active partition.

Ok now for dual boot. Now we have two OS in the same PC but only one (which is Mac) can be loaded by darwin bootloader (Mac bootloader). But in mine, no one can booted and what I have to do is set the partitions which have OS installed to active one.
Here is what I do, put the Kalyway DVD in CD/DVD ROM, restart and set first boot sequence to CD/DVD ROM again. Boot with Kalyway DVD, then after Darwin loaded press F8. Write -s and press Enter to boot into single user mode. Now after you are in the single user mode here is what to do :
to activate Windows partition (in partition 1 / C) run :

fdisk -e dev/rdisk0
flag 1
write
update
reboot

After reboot you can now boot Windows Xp. Then to activate Mac partition which is partition no 4 restart you computer, enter single user mode again and run :

fdisk -e dev/rdisk0
flag 4
write
update
reboot

"flag 4" used to set patition no.4 to active, so if you installed Mac at partition no.2 (for example) then use flag 2. Or in the other word use "flag n" which n refer to partition number of your installed Mac.
If anything running well, now you can select which partition to boot. Press any key when darwin booting then you can select which partition to boot. To boot windows select first partition, and to boot whic Mac select partition no. 4. That's all I do to dual boot XP and MAc in PC. Please note that this only works with Windows XP, and some PC hardware will have different results.

And also note that this article is for learning purpose only and I'm not suggest you to do piracy with Mac. If you love Mac then buy the real Mac if you can.

Simple Java Encryptor and Decryptor

Well, glad to be here again, posting again, and sharing again. This time I want to share a simple java encrypt and decrypt application. Well, I'm not the one who write the code from scratch. This application was a modification of javaencryptor from sourceforge.org, I designed the UI in Netbeans,which I think better then the original one (but, I'm sure You can do better). This application use DES algorithm to encrypt and decrypt, and this is one of Password Based Encryption (PBE) application. Perfect for encrypt (almost, maybe) all type of files. It's suitable for beginner java programmer (like me, of course) to learn more about java cryptography. You can get it here PBEDes or in Download box.
Well, I think that's all I can write this time, and maybe this blog will be left fo a while, because I'm concentrating on my final assignment now, for my graduation.

This is surprising, after few weeks doesn't post anything and today I got a chance, I was a little surprised when logging in to my Blogger dashboard. A new interface appear. Well I thing this is better than before (I'm sure you're also thinking like that). I hope this new looks will be one of my reason to be more often logging and posting. But I think this will be (a lot) more interesting if we can change the color theme of our dashboard, isn't it?

Third prize on My First Posters Competition

I know being the third winner is not the best one, but this is kind of great experience for me. Actually this posters competition is not part of my plan. I become a participant on that competition because of my proposal of PKMK (Progam Kreativitas Mahasiswa Kewirausahaan - Student Creativity Program of Bussiness) was accepted and I have to do that program. This poster I made, was part of the program. But then my university held a competition for those posters (many posters was follow the competition) before the real competition held by DIKTI (Dirjen Perguruan Tinggi- Director General of High Education) on PIMNAS (Pekan Ilmiah Nasional- National Science Week) on July 14.
I have no idea, what is the criteria for the best poster (but being third place is not bad, isn't it?). I think my poster design is not too good, because I'm a beginner in Illustrator (I made that poster using Illustrator). The design is so simple, no advance technique at all. You can see it below.

Well, I'm not hope too much, but that 3rd prize give me spirit for learning more about graphic design. I hope you can see my next work, and fell free for comment..

How to remove new (local) virus called JoniEzz.exe

Yesterday my friend came to my room, he complaint about virus on his computer, then ask me to clean it. He bring his usb memory with full infected documents in it. With no suspicious, I plugged in it on My lovely computer. I'm no worries at all, because I have scan it with Norton antivirus (with virus def. update on 13/6/08) before. No malware found so I'm sure that it is clean and save. Well until lastnight, I didn't realize that I am infected too. major change in my computer make me distrustful, so I began to use Ice Sword to monitor what processes were running. I use it because usually the virus proceses do not appear on the list. Then I found it, the process called smss.exe but with Word icon. This is weird, cause the real smss process is not with word icon. Until this, I realize that I've been infected.

So I wanna to share my experience, how to remove the virus and get back your hidden documents. First we need this tools :

1. Ice Sword, to monitor the processes, the virus won't recognize it, cause the title was randomly change.
3. Toggle hidden explorer stuff, a vbscript, good tool to show system files with super hidden attribute or You can set the DWORD value to 1 of HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\ShowSuperHidden in registry. Note, some antivirus will block this script, just allow it.
2. Attribute Changer, great tool to change files attribute, even with super hidden attribute. You need to install this tool first.

thats it all we need, you can get them on my blog Download box (on right sidebar) or just google them.
Now lets do the best thing,
- Fire up Ice sword, find processes called smss with word icon and kill them. Remember only processes with word icon!
- after that, use the toggle show super hidden file script to show all the system file. Go to C:\Windows\System32 and find folder named LoLOxz (or some thing like that). Inside the folder is smss.exe and msvbm60.dll. Just delete the folder. Now You have removed the virus procesess.
- to get back your hidden documents, just find out the documents, select all hidden documents and right click. Select Change Attributes from menu appear, uncheck the Hidden and System. Now you document back to normal.

- This virus also create the msvbm60.dll in same folder with the infected files, and autorun.inf in every drive which command the JoniEzz.exe in every drive. Remove both files too.
Just for information, this virus only infected files in first level directory. So if you files located deep in directory, You dont have to be worry. Maybe this is only remove the main virus and the processes, I really have no idea how much the virus create other files in Windows directory or somewhere else. I think it is wiser for you to back up all your important data and update your antivirus definition file right now. If you have any information about this virus, fell free for comment.. thats all. I hope this is useful..

My project is like a sequel of my Interactive Map of Semarang Tourism. Header and title changed

It's been a few weeks that I'm planning to change my blog header and title. I'm thinking for suitable title and represented header for my blog, this because I think the title "It's all about creativity" is no more suitable with the content of my blog. This blog content is containing more experiences then result of my work or study (although it will still here / posted).
I decided to change my blog title become "My Explorations :: A Geek Experiences" which is more represent this blog content. I think this title clear enough to what it is mean.
For the header background, I use part of a wallpaper called chroma wallpaper, which I found somewhere in ndesign-studio.com links..(I forgot where exactly I found it...you can google it).There is lot of resource and tutorial in graphic design there. For you who new in Illustrator or PS I suggest to visit it. And I added my little artwork I call Gunungan (modified), which is part of Wayang Kulit. Thats all... Feel free for comment...Enjoy..

First experience use MacOS.. but cannot install on my real computer

I've been dreaming on using MacOS for long time. Now I got chance to run it, altough it only using Virtual Machine. Yesterday I finished download OSx-86 image for VMware. It works fine, but run slowly, even when I increase the memory size. Actually, I'm planning to install MacOS on my real computer. I already have the Kalway 10.5.2 and iAtkos 2.0i DVDs, and also read some installation tutorials, but until now I still cannot install Mac on my real computer. It seems like I have unsupported nforce chipset on my Mobo. I got no idea how can I install it well. Somebody can help me? for information, I'm using the nforce 610 chipshet, gforce 7 series (7050) onboard graphic card on my Mobo, Intel Dual core Processor (D-920, it is supported well on some tutorial I've read), 2Gb of RAM, 160Gb SATA disk, IDE DVD drive.

Well for now, I'm glad enough using MacOS on Virtual machine, and what I need now is keep trying to install on my real computer, asking on some forums, read more tutorials and of course.. keep blogging... If you have any informations about installing Mac on general PC please comment...

It's much different than the previous Elephant Dream.. Many funny things there, me and my friends very much enjoy this movie... I just wanna say great job guys.. for all o you in BBB team.. Vista driver problem for common device (like mp3 player, ide to usb, etc)

Maybe this is an old issue, but if you are new in Vista and got problem like unrecognized some common device like MP3 / MP4 player, usb to IDE for portable HD and some other portable storage, maybe this would be helpful. Vista actually has already recognize dome of this device but sometime it ask for driver which is already inside the system folder. So if you had unrecognized device then asked for driver, don't search online, just browse it to the windows system folder which is for default C:\Windows\system32, let vista seach automatically. Some are works... I had this work for usb to IDE HD, mp3 and mp4 player... Fortunately this kind of bug I think already fixed in SP 1. Go here for download Vista SP 1.

Dial-up connections on Vista (using Nokia 2116 and Ca-42 data cable)

After struggling with my broken motherboard, I decide to buy the new one, and I got Manli mcp73v, good specification and the most important is fit to my budget... Well I get back to my activities and getting done some works. I try Windows Vista this time. I'd like to try to set-up a dial-up connection using my old N2116 and ca-42 data cable. And fortunatelly it's work!.. I got no problem installing the hardware, Vista just done well. Basiclly, modem installtion is the same way like in Windows XP, you can see my previous post about creating dial-up on Ubuntu. And this is how I set the connection.

After hardware installation successfull, you can go to Control Panel >>Network and Internet >>Network and Sharing Center then set up a connection or network. Choose set up a dial up connection and fill the information required like the number, name and password. Click connect if ready.. That's all, and this is some screenshots :

Indonesian Open Movie, new era of Entertainment

I just download the Blenderart magazine issue 15, then when I read for few page I was amazed when I read in page 7. On blender news section there was an article titled Open Movie Porject in Indonesia. That article was wrote by Johan Tri Handoyo. He wrote about open movie project called SUPER BIRI-BIRI a movie about Indonesian achipelago, but seems it was postponed cause of lack of skills in Blender and also lack of human resource. for more information about this project visit here

Well it would be great if You have good skill in blender to get involved on it. New era of movie industry will be come in Indonesia....

Live CD replaced My installed OS... what a bad days...

For last few days I think I got my bad days.. most of bad luck comes from my computer when it starting slow down.. and become so often stuck (hang). I don't know what is wrong with it, first I think thats because my computer was infected by malwares on windows but then when I try to use my Ubuntu or openSuse (I have 3 OS on my comp.) everytime my desktop effect loaded It hang again... And now it get worse... I try to reinstall Windows XP, the installation process done well but after few hardware driver installed then I restart it, it hang on windows Welcome screen... Oughhh... I really have a bad day... I've try to replace it's RAMs and uninstall it's VGA card but still nothing happen... nor even get better... so can anybody tell me whats wrong with my computer is there any hardware damage? or what... please help me...comment solutions...
Fortunately, not all my work stopped. I perforce finish some of my works using live CD... it running normal on live CD (I'm using SAM Linux)... so thanks for Linux... always can be a hero who save my day...

Youtube was Unblocked

Today, I can access Youtube as usual, youtube was unblocked. After my previous post, I think youtube blocking will last longer, and I was wrong. This day I open my firefox and go to youtube.com I get no problem loading page anymore. Maybe our government changed their mind for blocking some site (we knew that our government has block some site as beginning of the new UU-ITE) . Ya.. I hope they will be more selective and cleverer to make decision like that again...

As affect of FITNA movie distributions on the internet, our President, Mr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, has command to block the access of that movie, one of the way to access it is using Youtube.com, so Youtube has been blocked for Indonesian surfer. That is maybe quite annoying for people who has Youtube account, like me... But You don't worry, there is many ways to access Youtube. One of the way is using this site :
hidemyass.com. Just type Youtube full address (which is http://www.youtube.com) than enter or click the button. Wait for loading... and done.. You can access Youtube as free as it never blocked... I hope this information useful.... feel free for comment...

Yahoo or Google?

Search Engine (SE) has become one of the important thing on the internet. There is so many SE, but take look at Yahoo and Google, everybody know them. Why this two "guys" become more popular than the other? This post, I write based on my experience using this two big SE every day. First, go to http://www.google.com/ , what you get is page like this.

Only centered Google picture, one text box, two button and some links and options. That is too simple for a website. Even I can tell, it is too simple. This desain is one of Google powers. I think many people who searching for something in the internet, only need components for searching, its text box and the seacrh button. they didn't like so many links or pictures so they can easily locate the toolbox for searching. Thats why every search engine place the text box in the middle of page.Yahoo did to.

but You can see many links and pictures on Yahoo. Some of the other people want to find what they are looking for exactly in the first page they open. This is what Yahoo offers. Yahoo is more like a portal site or news page than a search engine, like we can easily read the earlier news on Yahoo. Both SE have their own superiority, but which is the best for you? I think it is depend on what are you looking for. This is my experiences, if you looking for something more specific in you local country or using you languange use Google. I use Google for seaching in Indonesia, and to find specific file type. Google is the best for this kind of searching. This is why some people said that Google is better than Yahoo. But try something more general aroud the world, Google always try to find on your local area first. Yahoo did better for that. More general searching from around the world. So if you see only for the seach engine capabilities of this two SE ,not from all the company features or products, the question is not which is the best one, but the question about what are you looking for and where are you searching is more appropriate.If you compare this two company from their products, Google is much better than Yahoo. Google have almost everything that surfer need. Mail, Blog, Groups and even Adsense. Thats why I prefer using some of Google features. Connect Internet via NOKIA 2116 CDMA + CA-42 on Gutsy Gibbon

Now I can blogging from my room.. Guess what? yes, I have internet connection on my desktop PC now. I found interested tutorial about creating connection using NOKIA 3125 here. The problem is I'm using NOKIA 2116 and CA-42 cable. Althought all the steps is not working for me, that tutorial is still help. Here I'll describe how to get connected to the internet using Nokia 2116 and CA-42 cable. Your needs :
1. Gnome-ppp ,make sure this application is installed
2. Nokia 2116
3. CA-42 cable
4. Modem driver for nokia 2116 (you can get it here)
5. Activated CDMA card

now lets, start...
open Gnome-ppp, you will see something like this:

click "setup" button to configure you modem, see like this:

now connect your phone using CA-42 on your computer USB port
click "detect", if detected.. the device will appear like /dev/ttyUSB0 (it can be different on other computer). Choose USB Modem on modem type if not automatically changed, leave the rest on its default.
Now on "Phone option and init string" click on "Init string" button you will see dialog for modem initialization string. The key to make your modem phone work well is on the init string setting. Now You can open the modem driver (nmpCDMA1xRTT.inf) using text editor. On modem type (around line 85) section you can find line like this:

nokia 2116 will need to choose modem type number three, which is "Nokia CDMA 1xRTT 3G Packet Data Modem". Now go few line below, find section [3GInit], you will set the init string on gnome-ppp based on this section line, looks like this :

HKR, Init, 2,, "AT+crm=1"
HKR, Init, 3,, "AT+cso=33"
HKR, Init, 4,, "ATE0V1"

fill the modem initialization string on gnome-ppp using line before inside "" on the driver file, and it would be AT+crm=1, AT+cso=33, and ATE0V1. Now fill the modem initialization string on gnome-ppp like picture below (double click each init line to fill) :

close the window and close the setup window too. Next step is to configure your connection using the role made by the phone operator.

(this below section may be only work for Indonesian reader)
Next setting will be different depend on your SIM card (operator) choice. I prefer using Starone, it is the cheapest one I think...With Gnome-ppp opened, fill the username "starone", password "indosat", and Phone number "#777". Below is some setting for CDMA card :

* FREN / Mobile8, Username = m8 dan Password = m8 and Phone Number = #777
* StarOne, Username = starone dan Password = indosat and Phone Number = #777
* Telkom Flexi, Username = telkomnet@flexi dan Password = telkom and Phone Number = #777

Now you can click "connect" button....done...

(try to restart you computer first before connecting). Fell free to comment in Indonesian....

Flash Proffesional CS3, an overview

Few days ago, I've finished download the new Adobe Flash Professional CS3 (trial version) from Adobe site. It is so exciting for me take test fo this new application. Well, first, the splash look nice, more red area and darker, and also better new logo, look more Professional...!. Then the intro pages, you can see new thing there, Flash file (Action Sript 3.0) and Flash file (Action Sript 2.0). None of those option exist in previous version of Flash Pro. (Macromedia Flash 8). I haven't know yet whats new in action script 3.0, but I hope it more powerfull and simpler to use. As long as i using Flash, action script is become powerfull thing in it. We can create more sophisticated animations and Flash Apps. using Action Script. For AS 3.0 I need to learn first, so I can't tell you more about AS 3.0 (or you have any knowledge for AS 3.0 ? share it to me will be great).

A new thing that surprising me in Flash CS3 is the interface. Try dragging a window or panel , you can see it become transparent..cool enough..! but it has no influence at all in your work files.

The panel arrangement not too much different from Flash 8, only the toolbox, it single vertically arranged, but you can make it double arranged by clicking tween triangle above the toolbox (works for other panel too, try it). Some feature changed on some panel, properties panel for example, no Device Setting button for flash mobile application. For creating Flash mobile application you should choose Flash File (mobile) from the intro page. Then Adobe Device Central will be opened. Once again the feature is nice, the device list give us more choice at once, better than in Flash 8. Double clicking on your device choice then start making application.
Some new feature I had found is Copy and paste motion and Importing Photoshop (PSD) file. For all of new feature in Flash Pro CS3 can you see here (http://livedocs.adobe.com/flash/9.0/UsingFlash/WS7C4F9BCB-CF7A-462b-887A-A7FCD32E6325.html) or read the Flash Help after you installing it.

That's all, I need to explore further, and hope I can create tutorials for Flash Pro.CS3.

Try the Blengine (Blender Game Engine)...

Last night i was trying to making a simple game simulation (can I say like that...?) of a moving cube controlled by keyboard. This basiclly not a game just a cube moving along the area and hit the cylinder (just dont hit the wall.....). This is the basic of BGE (blender game engine) implementation in controlling a mesh and combine with the physic simulation. I am learning in physic simulation of blender game engine, and hopefully I can create a simple game using Blender. Here is where I start. And of course I need more learning. anyone can help me ..? learning more about BGE and others like phyton scripting. My biggest thanks for anyone who want to share his/her knowledge in BGE to me...

I'm trying to modelling a car and thats not as easy as i expected. it's difficult enough when adjusting the vertices to get car shape balance. This not good enough when you look at the car model it have a line in the middle of the car body. That comes when i apply the mirror modifier on the car. Image below is my car body model. Beberapa hari dalam satu minggu ini saya sedang asyik-asyiknya belajar 3D. Hasilnya, ya....lumayan. Software yang saya pakai bukan software mahal untuk membuat model / animasi 3d seperti 3dmax dkk. Yang saya paki cuma program gratisan, namanya Blender. Untuk pengguna Linux mungkin sudah familiar dengan Blender. Anda bisa download blender di website resminya di www.blender3d.org. Software ini bisa dikatakan hebat sebagai software gratisan, ya beberapa fitur di Blender memang mirip atau bahkan sama dengan software 3d berbayar. Yang membuat saya tertarik selain gratisnya yaitu Game Engine bawaan blender yang memudahkan development game. Untuk render engine sendiri blender sudah menyediakan render Engine Internal Blender, namun ada juga render engine open source yang bisa dipakai, seperti YafRay. Anda bisa mendapatkan Yafray di www.yafray.org.

Berikutnya saya ingin lebih dalam belajar tentang game engine di Blender. Doakan saja semoga bisa menghasilkan game bermutu....Ini salahsatu hasil modelling sederhana saya yang saya buat dengan Blender. Kiamat Sudah Dekat, itu kan judul film yang cukup laris juga di sinetron. Tapi rasanya judul ini ngga main-main. Baru saja saya membaca sebuah artikel di suaramerdeka.com (tgl 19 jan 2007) tentang prediksi para ilmuan dunia bahwa kiamat atau akhir dunia sudah dekat. Artikel lengkapnya bisa dibaca disini. Mereka membuat semacam jam kiamat yang makin mendekati jam 12.00 setelah terjadi beberapa peristiwa yang bisa dianggap merusak bumi. Penyebab utamanya -kata para ilmuan itu- adalah perlombaan senjata nuklir dan pemanasan global. Wah bagi negara-negara yang punya nuklir untuk dibuat senjata ada baiknya baca artikel itu. Supaya sadar peradaban manusia terancam.
Jam kiamat yang dibuat itu sekarang menunjukkan pukul 11.55 (wah berarti 5 menit lagi kiamat men....). Wah rasanya ngeri kalau dipikir-pikir. Semuanya kembali pada kita semoga kita lebih rajin ibadah ya..

Saya berpikiran bahwa hidup juga layaknya algoritma dalam sebuah software yang penuh pilihan. Freeware? Fine......

Di sebuah blog-nya seorang dosenku yang aktif sekali ber-blog ria, menulis tentang Gratisism. Apa itu Gratisism? mungkin istilah yang kedengarannya agak familiar. Sebenarnya aku juga ga begitu tahu soal Gratisism ini, tapi saat ta' tanya dosen tersebut arti Gratisism itu intinya "Ga Modal" (kalo ga salah persepsi sih seperti itu). Berarti Gratisism itu istilah yang menarik, unik, cerdik, dan menggelitik (eh belakangnya -ik semua lho..), apalagi kalo sudah menyangkut yang namanya GRATIS!!!! alias FREE...siapa sih yang ga pengin dapat barang gratis? Mungkin dari istilah gratis itulah istilah Gratisism lahir, I don't know..Tapi kalo yang namanya gratis sih aku tahu, ya sedikit- sedikit lah kalo disangkut pautkan sama yang namanya Freeware. Kebetulan komputerku juga pake beberapa freeware. Memang ga semua fitur di freeware yang aku pake bisa digunakan, tapi jangan salah performanya ga jauh beda sama yang bayar alias ga gratis. Ya memang karena freeware biasanya sebagai alat promosi buat software tersebut yang versi bayarnya.
Freeware banyak macemnya dari yang luara biasa sampai yang biasa-biasa saja. Dan kalo bisa dibilang freeware Linux juga freeware, cuma karena dia Operating System makanya jarang (bahkan mungkin ga pernah) disebut sebagai freeware. Memang biasanya distro Linux juga ga gratis, itu bisa dimaklumi karena memang buat ongkos pengganti download sama ongkos burning di CD or DVD.
Selama ini freeware yang aku pake lumayan sih ada beberapa, ada Startup Mechanic 2.2, Eusing Free Registry Cleaner 1.0, Xmplay 3.0, Add Remove Pro v2.08, dan masih ada beberapa yang ga bisa disebutin semua. Meskipun freeware kita ga boleh sembarangan menyebarkannya lho, meskipun kita secara nyata ga bakalan dihukum kalo kita menyalah gunakannya. Untuk hal yang satu ini menyangkut kesadaran kita seberapa besar kita bisa menghormati si pembuat freeware itu. Di beberapa freeware juga memiliki aturan pendistribusiannya. Misalnya freeware yang udah kita dapat tidak boleh kita distribusikan secara komersil alias dijual ke orang lain (yang buat aja kasih gratis!), juga tidak boleh digunakan untuk hal-hal yang merugikan walaupun ada beberapa jenis freeware yang memang dibuat untuk melakukan sesuatu yang dianggap merugikan orang lain, misalnya Virus Generator atau Malware Creator yang lain. Untuk freeware macam ini juga programmerya menghimbau agar tidak digunakan sembarangan, dan gunakanlah untuk tujuan yang bersifat edukasi or pendidikan karena semua resikonya kita yang menanggung. Meskipun hal ini tergantung dari siapa yang menggunakannya.
Ngomong-ngomong soal freeware aku ga habis pikir kenapa ya programmernya yang susah-susah buat tapi dikasihkan gratis begitu saja. Ya walaupun kita ga tahu tujuannya, tapi kita yang menikmati software-nya sudah seharusnya berterima kasih dan menghormati programmer, jadi kalo mau bajak software pikir-pikir dulu dosanya dan masa ga ada kasihan-kasihannya sama programmer-nya. Ya kalo nge-crack and dipake sendiri alias ga disebarin sih sah-sah saja, kan dosanya yang nanggung kamu sendiri.

hati-hati install theme di Suse Linux 10.0 bisa bikin crash....

sedikit bagi pengalaman, aku pernah beberapa kali mengalami crash di KDE (v.3.4) sehabis install theme baru buat Suse 10.0. Antara lain yang pernah crash artsd sama panel kicker. Ya memang ga terlalu mengganggu sistem sih tapi kan sayang.... Apalagi bug-bug (crash-nya) macam ini yang sebagian belum ada obatnya alias belum ada solusinya. Buat KDE memang masih banyak bug-nya, dan ga cuma di distro Suse aja. hampir semua distro punya masalah yang hampir sama. Coba aja lihat di site-nya bug KDE (kalo ga salah bugs.kde.org) banyak bug yang masih sering dilaporin. kalo memang pengin ganti suasana mending coba ganti color dari theme yang udah ada aja, lebih aman...sebagai catatan aku masih pemula di linux jadi maaf-maaf kalo ada yang salah dan sama sekali ga bermaksud sombong. cuma pengin bagi dikit pengalaman aja buat kalian yang juga masih sama-sama beginner...

wah kayaknya kali ini bantuan dari kalian-kalian semua lagi aku butuhin sekali. ga susah n ga gampang juga sih. ada yang tahu ga soal ebook atau literatur lain yang membahas soal netbeans 5 tutorial yang gratis. soalnya bener-bener susah dicari. tolong bantuannya ya.... kasih comment aja kalo mau bantu (juga kalo bisa yang gratis-gratis aja maklum blognya juga gratisan) thanks....

bismillah...
Ini tulisan pertama tapi mudah-mudahan jadi awal yang baik. Amin. Aku mau kasih sedikit tips buat yang punya komputer rumahan dan ga ada koneksi ke internet. Kita yang pengguna produk Microsoft Windows pasti tahu apa yang namanya Windows Messenger buatan Micrososft Corp. yang mirip ama Yahoo Messenger. Buat kita yang punya komputer yang ga terhubung ke internet, bisa jadi Windows Messenger ini bukan program yang kita butuhkan. Apalagi program ini masuk ke dalam Startup, bikin komputer lambat masuk ke desktop kalo kebanyakan program yang di-load waktu startup. Kita bisa aja uninstall program iini lewat Control Panel lalu ke add/remove program >> add/remove windows component. Bisa aja sih lewat situ tapi aku pernah nyoba cara ini malah bikin Windowsku error (aku pake Windows XP SP 2). Atau emang aku yang salah cara uninstallnya atau bukan, yang jelas memang program itu hilang dari peredaran di komputerku. Hasilnya komputerku pun harus pake Sistem Restrore Windows (salah satu tool yang bagus bawaan Windows) sampe normal kembali dan WinMessenger nongol lagi.Nah ini intinya : ternyata setelah proses percobaan yang lumayan sederhana Windows Messenger berhasil kulenyapkan (non aktifkan) dari sistem tanpa uninstall. Caranya mudah banget !!! begini :1. buka Task Manager Windows lewat ctrl+alt+del (atau lewat cara lain bolehlah..)2. matiin proses msmsgs.exe lewat End Proses, klik OK (awas jangan sampe namanya salah, bisa kacau!)3. cepet-cepet Cut program yang namanya msmsgs.exe dari directory asalnya (defaultnya di C:\Program Files\Messenger) lalu Paste-kan di drive dan directory lain (bisa di D:, E:, dsb)4. lakukan langkah 3 dengan secepat yang kamu bisa sebelum prosesnya jalan lagi di Task Manager.nah dengan begitu Windows Messenger ga bakalan muncul lagi. Buat munculin lagi, kembaliin aja msmsgs.exe yang kamu Cut tadi ke directory asalnya dan aktifin lagi, beres...!!!kamu mungkin bisa coba buat program bawaan windows yang lain dengan cara yang sama. tapi inget resiko tanggung sendiri.......nah begitu dulu... see you next diary....
